We are pleased to announce that PetroStrat will be exhibiting at GESGB Africa 2025, taking place on 23-24 October 2025 in London. GESGB Africa is a specialist technical conference focused on the geology and energy potential of the African continent. The conference theme is “Maximizing African Opportunities in the New Energy Age”: where exploration, innovation, and low-carbon strategies converge.
You’ll find us at Stand 19. Our team is eager to explore how our innovative integrated geoscience service packages can support your subsurface operations in Africa and beyond. We look forward to networking with industry leaders, researchers, and operators to explore both new and established opportunities.
Showcasing Our In-House Exploration Team
PetroStrat’s Exploration department delivers full technical evaluations, everything from broad plate-scale screening down to individual prospects. We analyse rocks and fluids, integrate seismic data, assess petroleum systems, and generate leads to quantify geological uncertainty and risk.
Our exploration workflow combines with biostratigraphy and reservoir geology to reduce uncertainty and strengthen decision-making.

PetroStrat’s Africa Experience
East Africa
Our stratigraphers have extensive experience of the stratigraphy of the Neogene to Cretaceous sections on the East African Margin. We have contributed to basin evaluation, stratigraphic mapping, and materials for regional play assessment.
Countries: Eritrea · Ethiopia · Kenya · Madagascar · Mozambique · Somalia · Sudan · Tanzania · Uganda
West & South Africa
In West and Southern Africa we have worked in both frontier basins and mature fields. Projects have ranged from biostratigraphy and log interpretation to subsystem definitions and reservoir characterisation in offshore, deepwater, and onshore basins. This includes Tertiary and the Cretaceous sediments, the post-Salt and the pre-Salt.
Countries: Angola · Benin · Cameroon · Chad · Côte d’Ivoire · Equatorial Guinea · Gabon · Ghana · Liberia · Mauritania · Nigeria · Republic of Congo · Senegal · Sierra Leone · South Africa
North Africa & Eastern Mediterranean
We also support clients in North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean with complex stratigraphic challenges, working in both carbonate and clastic settings. PetroStrat geoscientists have a wide range of stratigraphic experience in Palaeozoic, Cretaceous and Tertiary
Countries: Algeria · Cyprus · Egypt · Israel · Lebanon · Libya · Morocco · Tunisia
Chandini Murlidhar is chairing on of the technical sessions (in collaboration with GESGB Young Professionals)
We are proud to share that Chandini Murlidhar (Project Geoscientist) will be chairing one of the technical sessions. Chandini is an Exploration Geoscientist with Geochemistry expertise within the Exploration Group at Petrostrat. With prior operator experience, she specialises in integrating multidisciplinary subsurface data to support petroleum systems analysis, with a particular focus on source rock screening and fluid geochemistry.

“Chairing this session is an opportunity to enhance my professional development and contribute to the technical community. It also allows me to connect with peers, exchange insights, and stay at the forefront of new developments in geoscience.”
Chandini is part of the GESGB Young Professionals Committee and current lead of the Mentoring Scheme. This initiative enables students and young professionals to connect with mentors to develop beyond their current roles and gain insights that help shape their long-term career paths. Energy Transition: Subsurface Solutions for the “New Energy Age”
PetroStrat has over 25 years of experience characterising the subsurface and more than 150 specialists across biostratigraphy, reservoir geology, exploration and laboratory services. While we continue to provide best-in-class services to our traditional energy clients, we also support Energy Transition projects and low-carbon initiatives.
These include:
- Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) assessment workflows, including evaluation of both store and seal integrity, to help reduce risk and support deployment.
- Enhanced weathering service, applying geological insight to carbon removal and mitigation pathways.
